Issue:

Found that after installing the UR5 patch for Runbook servers, Runbook service account is getting reverted back to its old account when we have already changed the account with a new one.

Workaround:

  1. Firstly, we need to change the below registry key value for the RunbookServerUsername with the new account name

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\SystemCenter2012\Orchestrator\Configuration

  1. Now change the account for the service “Orchestrator Runbook Service” with the new account name in services.msc and restart the “Orchestrator Runbook Service” service to take effect. Please make sure that new account should have all the access on SQL server which previous account was having.
  2. Now install the SQL server native client on the server (Each server which is having Orchestrator roles installed)
